    Worst mistake I have ever made was renewing my contract

    THE BAD:

    Terrible internet connection. It is always dropping and slow to reconnect.
    Customer service is terrible.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    Word of advice, DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY!!

    Worst mistake I have ever made was renewing my contract with them. I have issues with payments as they continually claim I have "missing payments" which I have to fax to them monthly. Also, terrible internet connection. It is always dropping and slow to reconnect. Customer service is terrible, staff rude and unhelpful. Word of advice, DO NOT JOIN THIS COMPANY!! Even though there deals are good, I will join Telecom and Sky just to avoid all of the drama with this incompetent company.

    Goood thing i found this site, i was about to transfer to Telstra but gut feel stopped me from doing so. Been talking to a kiwi who had been extra persistent to get a deal through..and perhaps get his commission. Thanks for the recent warnings!

    Biggest mistake switching to Telstra.

    THE BAD:

    Internet is has been down for the past 4 days and counting.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    Im switching back to telecom on Monday.

    Biggest mistake switching to Telstra. Internet is has been down for the past 4 days and counting. Ring through to tech support who can't even provide any troubleshooting that I don't already know or done (turning modem off/ bypassing router/ changing ip addresses). I cant believe im paying 100/mo focrouch inconsistent speeds and constant outages. I will not pay Telstra a cent for such services. Im switching back to telecom on Monday.

Broadband is inconsistent,customer service is oxymoronic, no one will answer your call. I payed penalty fees to get out, gladly. It is a shit company. Would give no stars if I could.

    They took 3 weeks to connect the wrong incoming line, then refused to change it over.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    We were without internet for 2 months during exams thanks to them.

    REVIEW:

    Absolute shocker. They took 3 weeks to connect the wrong incoming line, then refused to change it over citing I 'didn't have authority'. Then called several times trying to get us to pay for internet on a line that was of no use to us. Also screwed around several legitimate companies that were trying to connect the right line. We were without internet for 2 months during exams thanks to them. STAY AWAY FROM TELSTRACLEAR

    Just swapped to TCL, what a joke. Don't do it. A comedy of errors with the paperwork not matching the promotional bundle, the Bill is a confused mess and my evening download speeds have dropped through the floor.

    I have found the best way of dealing with either Telstra or Telecom is to drag them to small claims court. It is worth the $30 and eliminates 30-90 minute waits for customer service. Also email is better as you can keep records of what is said so that when they lie later you can prove it.

    TelstraClear is a genuinely appalling. If they actually offered wireless modems for my area, perhaps calling an overseas callcentre and waiting to experience their crap customer service would be worth my while. No wonder they are relatively cheap.
