    I see all the reviews on here do not tell us what area the people are from ? The area that you are from or live has a lot to do with the speed performance of your ISP. I lived in INVERCARGILL about 6 kms from the exchange and the upload and download speed was much faster than where we live at the moment in RIVERTON Southland

    I highly recommend Snap

    THE GOOD:

    Initially connection was a little bit off center but as time progressed the connection is now stable and have had no ISP related dropouts to recall.
    Static IP, extra $5
    Unlimited Google (YouTube inclusive), $5
    Excellent and fast customer service, priceless.

    THE BAD:

    Nothing, unlike SlingShit in the corner over there.

    REVIEW:

    Despite the bad reviews, I do highly recommend Snap to most. Simply due to the fact that they are so flexible and can tailor to suit your needs. If you have an issue, stick with them, they do end up resolving it.
    Best value for money in my opinion. They also continuously upgrade their plans to compete with the likes of other ISP's (and sometimes ruffling up their feathers in forums ;)
    I was once with Slingshot and Shot them away VERY quickly, early termination and all because of the outrageous fees they charged for the same services, not to mention the inconvenience factor of waiting on the damn phone for (on average but not less than) 30 minutes..
    Current plan: 50GB base, naked ($70) with additional 100GB ($15)
    Additions: Unlimited Google and Static IP ($10)

    Snap is ok.

    Fantastic costumer service.

    THE BAD:

    Speed is not the best for ADSL2+

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    Snap is just OK. Speedy is not the strong.

    REVIEW:

    Superior costumer service but poor speed. Fritz box is not fast at all.

    two months of poor speeds and frequent disconnections

    Not the sort of isp you want a 12 month contract with.

    REVIEW:

    Worst isp ever, extremely frustrating too deal with, two months of poor speeds and frequent disconnections, 20+ phone calls no results, I was told there was nothing they could do and the issue's we're with equipment they had no control over, changed isp problem went away along with snap. Just goes too show being voted best isp means very little or very little voted? Not the sort of isp you wan't a 12 month contract with.

    recently changed providers due to earth quake in chch. Very disappointed with snaps reliability and consistency. One day brilliant nek minute shocking, most days unable to stream anything with predictable performance. Promise to come out over and over to check connection etc,even though it went perfectly with previous provider and then just don't show! It is always tomorrow with snap. unpredictable unreliable unhappy customer. I certainly wouldn't recommend if you require a stable level of performance.

    I phoned up to order SNAP...

    REVIEW:

    I phoned up to order SNAP with the new Fibre Optic on the 12th June. It wasn't until the 26th june when I phone up to ask about progress with my connection that I was informed that they require first months payment before connection. My payment wen through the next day. It wasn't until the 9th JULY that i was finally connected to the internet after phoning almost every day.FOUR weeks after first speaking with SNAP. I was also told on the 12th June that I would be getting a phone line too. But on the 9th JULY when I asked about it they told me they are still trialing the phone service through Fibre Optic Cables. I would not recommend SNAP to anyone. And at $149.95/month you expect the BEST

    Snap is FANTASTIC. Great customer service, people know what they are talking about, great speeds. I signed up online at 11AM I was connected at 6PM, I couldn't believe it. Getting VDSL soon.

    I battled away with Xnet...

    THE GOOD:

    Excellent speeds (15Mb/s DL)

    REVIEW:

    I battled away with Xnet and constant problems for many years, and finally transferred my service to SNAP. What a complete revelation. I thought I would have to wait for fibre-to-the-home to get a service as good as this. SNAP have exceeded all my expectations. Excellent speeds (15Mb/s DL), QOS and service. If you live in the South Island, and are probably unhappy with the service you get, definitely look at making the change to SNAP.
