As a network engineer, I was really impressed...

    REVIEW:

As a network engineer, I was really impressed by the service (Naked Broadband) provided by Snap. Unlike a previous comment (won't name names) I understand that ADSL (owned by Telecom - not Snap) is a best effort service and Snap in fact have such redundancies and bandwidth allocations in place that they can host unlimited data weekends without a dent in their network. Furthermore, they were really helpful during the process of getting Chorus (Telecom), who own most ADSL equipment in New Zealand, to fix my ADSL issues. I felt like a person talking to Snap and I was surprised to hear that most people, even in their residential support team, are qualified network engineers. Pricing can be a little better but you get what you pay for. Good job Snap.

Went with Snap for my new house after reading...

    REVIEW:

Went with Snap for my new house after reading the consumer.org.nz website reviews showing Snap as the number 1 ranked ISP in all areas. Because of cost of internet these days I decided to go naked broadband (no phoneline) for $60 per month. Within two months I have experienced multiple outages on the broadband between 25-60mins each. Given naked broadband customers have no phoneline all my calls and also alarm monitoring were through IP (internet based). Big fail on my part think Snap could provide a steady service. As a basleine I have two other households in NZ running on the Vodafone Ultimate Pack and I have NEVER experienced an outage. This leads to tell me Snap has not built in adequate redudnancy in their network or something just isn't working right for them. I have not decided to leave snap but moved to their homeline plus broadband package in a hope things will get better (homeline is more realiable than their broadband as its rented off Telecom) to give me a constant phone service and alarm monitoring. I can speak highly of their customer services team who are helpful, engaging and can make their customers feel warm and fuzzy. However are not overly helpful when you say you've got an outage on your broadband as they describe their service as a best effort service only. Overall, friendly bunch of people but poor service and high costs of packages compared to Vodafone and possibly other ISPs. Don't think they'll get the TUANZ award this year if it keeps going this way.

Choosing Snap as my ISP has been a fantastic experience

    THE GOOD:

Customer service representatives are always available, rarely I have to wait

    REVIEW:

Choosing Snap as my ISP has been a fantastic experience. I did my homework and do some research about some ISPs, found out that Snap has been getting good reviews and won the TUANZ award for 3 years straight from 2009-2011. Having no experience with any other ISP, I decided to just jump in with Snap, and boy was that a fantastic decision. Customer service representatives are always available, rarely I have to wait a long hold just to talk with anyone. They are all very knowledgeable too, from their own services, the requirements for the households, even about modem/router capabilities. The experience talking with them is just lovely. The internet service and speed is awesome, no complaints whatsoever (this is based on my experience with high speed internet in the US). The installation of the internet to my home is also very quick, less than 3-4 days it was already running, just superb!!

Snap are a fantastic company to have as an ISP.

    THE GOOD:

the customer service reps there aren't pushy or dispassionate

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

Would highly reccommend this ISP on all accounts excluding value

    REVIEW:

Snap are a fantastic company to have as an ISP. Turnaround times on all inquiries are ridiculously fast and the customer service reps there aren't pushy or dispassionate; The service and support I recieve is awesome. Would highly reccommend this ISP on all accounts excluding value; Their connection and phone line is on the higher end of the price market, however with $2 youtube and google uncapped, that's like, half of my usage left unmetered, so there's some benifits that don't come with other service providers. 8/10. Could be better, but they'd probably go broke if they did.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    very good ISP highly recommended

    REVIEW:

Connection speed is very awesome during peak hours Snap still manages better than average speed all the new plans are pretty awesome customer service has always been very helpful I called up to change my plan from the old 60g one to the new 55g one + $2 youtube, the guy on the line was very thorough, he asked his boss to reverse my payment (the new plan's cheaper) and left himself a note to add the $2 add-on once my new plans kicks in (in a few more days) the other thing I like about Snap is how fast they react to your online payments, I got capped and paid for an extra gig NEK MINIT my internet is back to normal, no more overnight wait very good ISP highly recommended.

    Connection speed is pretty good...

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

Best value ISP in my opinion.

    REVIEW:

Connection speed is pretty good, I can max out my line which is nice. 2 bux extra to get access to their google cache and save $$ on traffic - yes please. Free tvnz ondemand traffic. The helpdesk have been helpful when needed, it helps if you can articulate the issue. Best value ISP in my opinion.
