Moving to Snap, never going back.

I have been with slingshot for about 2 months and am already looking to move because they decided to slap me in the face with a 51 dollar a month homeline rental fee AND another 16 dollars for the calling pack. Initially through setup, i was quoted the 16 dollar price, only after entering ALL of my details, including my address. So i allowed a max cost per month of $56. First bill came, thought the rental fee was a one off. Shrugged and said eh. Second bill came, 200 dollars oweing! after my accound was in credit 189 dollars! onto the customer service, it was quite simply crap. long waiting times and had to be transferred to a guy who said a blinking red adsl light was a fault with BOTH of my modem/routers, and that he said he was very suspicious of them. Turned out the fault was on their end. once it was fixed i was given no information as to what the fault was or how they fixed it. In the end i decided to pay the early termination for all the home line and broadband. Moving to Snap, never going back.

it seems to really crawl in the morning,even the google page can take a while to load. if i wasnt for the the free off peak, which is slowly diminishing, id ditch!

Very slow connection considering "full speed". Cannot connect to steam servers, excessive slow download speeds (yes, 200 bytes per second on BF bad company 3 beta) 6kb/s on firefox and Windows updates. Youtube works fine, 1080p. Overall, I'd say claims are overall misleading. So go with other isp, even Worldnet is better

so slow, can't watch youtube.com even if you are near the exchange.

They don't even properly answer questions that you ask.

Am not impressed with them at all any more. Been with Slingshot for years, when they were one of the best priced. But the customer service is appalling!! They don't even properly answer questions that you ask. I even said I was looking to change suppliers and they still missed answering my questions. Then they cancelled my broadband plan and put me on a more expensive plan (while my sister got to continue on a far older and better plan!). They said this would be much faster than my old plan, but I think it's a lot slower. Now they have been superseded by others with more data for less cost I'm definitely moving.

Worst ISP ever, too many problems to explain here, customer service non existant, off peak internet traffic is shaped, dont waste your time.

Customer service is extremely poor, as someone said they just want to hang up. Off-peck speeds are disgusting, I usually get around 2Kb/s! Usually during the day the connection from the ISP and my modem randomly disconnects! Over all a really bad ISP! Just use Xnet, nice costumer service and lightning fast!!!

POOREST customer service and POOREST technical service

SLOW! SLOWER!! SLOWEST!!! Rude customer servicer! After a long long waits they won't tell you what's happening or solve your problem. Only try to hang up the phone. POOREST customer service and POOREST technical service I have ever seen! Don't sign up with Slingshot!

Very poor ISP in my opinion. Have been with Slingshot since 2006 when they were excellent - looking to move now. Things have just got slower and slower. Customer service very poor - long waits and don't call you back when they say they will. Very surprised at the good reviews here - mind you a few years ago I couldn't fault them. Look around some more before making a decision based on the above reviews.

Do not waste your money on All you can eat Unlimited plan if your main downloads are for movies as my download average at around 5kb/s(yes 5 kb/s not typo) most of the time. I called tech support and they said there's priority on download speed and movies download are at the last priority hence the slow download speed.
