    So far so good.

    So far so good. I signed up for Mammoth evening of Tuesday 14 August. I got txt messages advising me of progress the next day (15th August). By afternoon 15th August I was changed over and had to reconfigure my modem that evening to get hooked up (luckily I have email on my phone to retrieve the connection details though ). As advertised "attended" or interactive web transfer speeds were good in the evening, file transfer speeds a bit strangled (100KB/s-350KB/s and highly variable). At the same time as downloading files, my online gaming experience was good (iracing.com - haven't tried MW3 yet). This morning file transfer speeds were good. Thanks Compass for offering the Mammoth plan, I know technologically it's harder to implement and maintain good service and most ISPs don't bother... Hope the good service continues.

    Absolutely atrocious customer service. Had to get my name put on the account when my flatmate moved out. Rang up to get this done, then two days later when I ring to see what plan we are on they have no idea who I am and want to talk to an account holder who had her name taken off the account over eight months ago! On the first of the month our wireless internet is not working. I ring and get put on hold for half an hour only to be told "it should be working". I then ring every day for the next nine days and get told to 'fix' different things, all of which don't do anything. I get told "your modem is broken" and am then palmed off to the modem company and this trouble shooting finds no problems. Then finally after 10 days they 'fix' something at their end and it magically starts working!!! You're on hold for at least half an hour with this crowd [even at 8pm on a Saturday night!!!] and the 'technicians' don't know what they're doing. You ask to be updated when they finally get someone to 'fix' something at their end and they never do. Sad thing is, staying with this company is really the only option as no one offers a wireless service with the GB allowance that we need except Compass. Can't wait till the start of next month when our internet is cut off again...

    My biggest issue is the sales staff...

    THE GOOD:

    Good price, if the speed was constant it would be great.

    THE BAD:

    I get throttled down to speeds around 0.5mb/s most nights, making it impossible to use for online gaming.
    Worst customer service.

    My biggest issue is the sales staff lying to get the sale. I was told when I specifically asked about speed throttling that my Mammoth plan would not be affected, but I get throttled down to speeds around 0.5mb/s most nights, making it impossible to use for online gaming or viewing video. Rung the sales team again and acted as a new customer, gave them my neighbours address and asked if I could expect my speeds to be affected by traffic throttling, was told a very clear "Not at all", but when I talked with technical support was told that I should expect significant slow down. Trying to contact them is a nightmare, I have to mask my cellphone number, call their sales team and then get them to transfer me to the department that I want to talk with, then wait on hold for at least 15 minutes, it is the only way to get contact if calling from a cellphone, otherwise you have to leave a voice message for a "call back" that will never happen. Good price, if the speed was constant it would be great, worst customer service I have ever encountered.

    This is what i get EVERYTIME i watch a video besides the disconnects and non-responding to emails. any more than two computers surfing the net is a nightmare. online gameing consoles..forget it!!! DO NOT JOIN

    Run for the hills or slam the door if these people come to your door offering there services, My cell plan is fine i will give them that, The day they said they would get me connected, they called and said sorry due to the amount of people in your area who signed up ( sucked in) we can't do it today, 10 days later internet an phone on to discover i can call out no one can call in, they blamed my old provider saying they won't release my number, i ended up calling the old one my self for them to say hmmm another compass customer, anything wrong is at there end, i have been with them for just over a month and have call at least 3 times a week to sort out having either no internet or phone, each time you call if you havn't fallen asleep waiting i have to explain my prob all over again, I called the other day about my home line to discover that without telling me changed my landline number and failed to tell me, what the hell is wrong with this company, it leaves me pulling my hair out with frustration, I'm counting down the months for the contract to be up then im gone! saving a few dollars a month isn't worth it! ( waiting to see what goes wrong next. They did say they had something to do with telecom, and from reading comments seems to be a way of making people feel ok about them, JUST DON'T DO IT!

    they sold me on a deal over the phone. Two weeks before my contract expired with my current ISP I contacted them to find they had done nothing. I contacted them by email, they didnt reply. I rang they said it was in progress. I emailed again no response - I emailed them not to bother and I wasnt changing - I sent another letter by snailmail. DONT TRUST THEM THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR EMAILS LET ALONE THEIR PHONE

    I am glad I did not read these reviews before I signed up, because I have recently moved to Compass and have to say I am not sure what all the complaints are about? I signed up to their unlimited broadband for $79... which is saving me $40 a month compared with what I was paying with Vodafone on 80GB! My speed is the same, don’t have to worry about checking my usage. I am pleased so far.

    Shocking!!!! Do not join this rubbish ISP. Customer service is by far the most ridiculous I have known...... up to and over an hour waiting for dumb answers... stay clear people!!! I never liked to change but thought I would give them a go. Bad move. Go back to the true and faithful. Cannot access accounts - useless. They give you 7 days to cancel but they wont answer the phone for you to query them within that time frame. Aaargh!!!!
