    Excellent ISP with good customer service

    THE GOOD:

    Very helpful staff, even for novice users. Very attentive to problems, even if these are problems caused by Telecom or Netcomm (my router brand).

    THE BAD:

    Nothing bad.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    I have no hesitation in recommending Actrix.

    REVIEW:

    Some people may complain at the price not being the cheapest in the country, but with my plan, Cyberjet, I'm getting much cheaper calls to mobile phones that I would with Telecom.

    Some people may complain about the speed, but where I live, in Lower Hutt, this is probably as much Telecom as anything else, as Actrix uses Telecom lines.

    The goodv the bad and the ugly

    THE GOOD:

    Great customer service
    Easy to read bandwidth monitor
    The speed is sufficient during the night

    THE BAD:

    Prices for plans are a little steep compared with other companies.
    The speeds change during the day, suggesting they don't have enough room for all their customers

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    Id be on the fence, still looking for good deals and cheap prices. Over all i think Actrix is doing ok as a provider but it would be nice to see the prices in broadband data drop a bit and to increase the cap size so rather than 200gb a month maybe go for 1 terabyte, for those who watch alot of videos online and do large amounts of uploading (videos or pain artworks).

    From an online gaming standpoint I have no issues with a usual ping of 90-120 so this is great for that

    Outstanding!

    THE GOOD:

    Reliable, reasonable speeds in my area, superb customer service.

    THE BAD:

    Slightly more expensive than other ISPs.

    THE BOTTOM LINE:

    The fact that I have only ever had to call customer service for a problem once in the three years we have been with Actrix says a lot. Especially when the problem was a Telecom fault!

    I am in Central Auckland and have been with Actrix...

    REVIEW:

    I am in Central Auckland and have been with Actrix for 6 year or so. I am on the full speed up and down plan. Video load slow on youtube. I used to like Actrix a lot. Good support, but support is not something you wish you needed, I just want very fast speed instead. I often do the speedtest.net thing, but was very disappointed that Actrix alway lose to the telecom connection at my work.

    THE GOOD:

    Excellent speeds in Wellington suburbs.

    REVIEW:

    I've been with Actrix for many years and I can't say enough about these guys. In the rare event I've needed to call their support team they are quick to answer, technically sharp and very helpful. Excellent speeds in Wellington suburbs. You might pay a tiny bit more than joke ISPs but the peace of mind is worth every cent.

    Support team is excellent

    REVIEW:

    Very good ISP, connection went extremely smoothly, speeds and connection have been steady and consistent. Support team is excellent and their are literally no queues when you call them. Maybe a little on the dearer side but the support team easily makes up for it.
